Text that reads: Cannabis is Love

In celebration of May as Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, Harborside presents Cannabis Is Love—a heartfelt pledge to fundraise for AAPI community-focused organizations and highlight our favorite AAPI-owned brands. The incredibly troubling rise of AAPI-targeted hate crimes calls for both community awareness and immediate action.

To reflect one of Harborside’s core values, we are proud to announce the launch of a limited run of “Love Over Hate” tote bags—designed by Harborside’s own AAPI designers—with 25% of proceeds benefiting 18 Million Rising (18MR), an Oakland-based organization focused on national AAPI community development and political representation. 18MR strives to build a collaborative platform to foster conversation, network for growth, advocate politically for AAPI folks, and work strategically to prevent violent harassment. Support 18 Million Rising by picking up a “Love Over Hate” tote bag at your local Harborside location or order online here.

Harborside is also working with the Bay Area’s own cannabis culinary innovators at Potli, an AAPI-owned cannabis-infused kitchen staples company who have just launched their Courage Over Comfort initiative. This organization works to elevate AAPI voices for intergenerational healing, inspiration, and advancement while also fundraising for partner AAPI organizations such as the urban farming reentry program Alma Backyard Farms and Good Good Eatz, an advisory group who works to boost underrepresented Bay Area ethnic restaurants and markets.

If you would like to learn more, or contribute directly to AAPI focused causes, we invite you to check out the following organizations:

Alma Backyard Farms – https://www.almabackyardfarms.com/

Good Good Eatz – https://www.goodgoodeatz.com/

Don’t forget to check out Potli for delicious cannabis-infused kitchen staples such as honey, apple cider vinegar, and even hot chili oil!

Purchase a “Love Over Hate” tote bag here to benefit 18 Million Rising.

Thank you for your support as we recognize May as AAPI Heritage Month!
