Ed Schmults has more than 30 years of experience in global branded consumer products, omnichannel retail, product development, finance, operations, IT, and green and socially responsible businesses.
He held CEO roles at FAO Schwarz and Wild Things Gear, and COO roles at Patagonia and Red Envelope, following a position in investment banking at Goldman, Sachs & Company.

Since January 2015, Jack Nichols has served as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for Harborside Inc. and its predecessor FLRish Inc. Mr. Nichols plays a critical role at the executive level managing all legal matters for the Company, spearheading new policy, overseeing the Company’s compliance team in a rapidly changing landscape, and working with management to mitigate risk.

As part of his commitment to the advancement of regulatory policy in the cannabis industry he sits on the Federal Policy Advisory Group for CCIA (California Cannabis Industry Association). His long career in law enforcement prior to joining us culminated with his role as Special Assistant US Attorney in the District of Maine, followed by General Counsel for Creative Services, Inc. a global security firm serving corporate and government market sectors.

Tom DiGiovanni


Tom DiGiovanni joined Harborside in December 2019 as our Chief Financial Officer. He started working in the cannabis industry in 2016 as a founding member of Canndescent, where he was the CFO and Chief Compliance Officer. During his tenure there, he established several cannabis industry firsts, including opening the first fully compliant cannabis bank account in California in 2017 and building the first commercial scale cannabis solar energy project in the US in 2019.

Before entering the cannabis industry, Mr. DiGiovanni served in multiple executive roles in finance and operations, including as Chief Financial Officer for Mainstream Energy where he managed growth rates of more than 100% per year, helped consummate the merger of Mainstream Energy into Sunrun Inc and helped Sunrun prepare for their IPO (NYSE: RUN). He is a fully licensed Certified Public Accountant and a graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting with a minor in Economics.

Angela Pih


Angela Pih is an award-winning, global brand builder with two decades of experience in cannabis, fashion, beauty, and luxury lifestyle brands. She specializes in high-growth companies primed for national and international expansion. As an omni-channel, data-driven growth marketer, she is strategically minded, digitally savvy and operationally disciplined. Angela has been in executive level positions for over a decade, working directly with founders, board members and investors. She was the Chief Marketing Officer at Papa & Barkley and CannaCraft, where she was a recipient of three Cannabis CLIOs and recognized by Green Entrepreneur for creating a “Top 25 Cannabis Brands that Killed it in Marketing in 2019. Angela is on the Board of Advisors at Lucid Green and is a founding member of the Los Angeles Chapter of CHIEF, a national network of women executives. She is an Advisory Board member and Adjunct Professor at Loyola Marymount University’s mSchool, a member of Rolling Stone Culture Council and a member of cannabis Trailblazers.

Pedro Fonseca


Pedro Fonseca comes to Harborside with over 32 years of natural food and retail experience, most recently with Whole Foods market for over 27 years. Pedro has held several positions, from leading retail facilities to Executive Vice President of Retail Operations and Executive Vice President of new store development and construction across the US and Canada, overseeing over 85 retail locations and 10,000 employees, resulting in 1.2 billion dollars in sales across the mid-Atlantic region. Pedro’s passion is building teams and businesses through mentoring, motivating, communication, collaboration, and an inclusive culture. Pedro is passionate about interdepartmental collaboration and partnership, from marketing to supply chain, resulting in fully integrated programs and processes.

Dina Howard


Dina joined Urbn Leaf in 2019 as the head of HR and was later selected as the VP of People Operations for Statehouse in 2022. Dina is a strategic and innovative people leader who translates business vision into talent and operational initiatives that improve performance, profitability, growth, and employee engagement. She has a strong commitment to driving the business while serving as the caretaker of the company’s largest asset, its people. Dina has partnered with senior leaders as a trusted advisor to develop talent and improve overall workforce performance and colleague engagement. She brings 16 years of significant experience in all HR functions, with specific concentration in strategic people operations, leadership development, performance management, employee relations, compensation and workforce planning. She has worked in various industries ranging from small startups in hospitality to fortune 500 companies in healthcare and strives to make a valuable and sustainable impact on every organization she has been a part of.

Conrad Gregory


Conrad Gregory leads the government relations and compliance activities of Harborside Inc., one of the oldest and most respected cannabis brands in the United States. His work covers the policy and politics of the cannabis industry as well as the development of current and future licenses. Prior to joining Harborside, Gregory helped run several successful political campaigns at the local, state and federal levels before moving to Sacramento to work for then-Lieutenant Governor Gavin Newsom as Chief Consultant for Economic Policy. Gregory’s work culminated in overseeing the Lt. Governor’s Blue Ribbon Commission on Marijuana Policy, which ultimately influenced Proposition 64 to legalize cannabis in California. In addition to his work at Harborside, Gregory currently serves as the Board President of the California Cannabis Industry Association (CCIA) and is a founding member of Oakland Citizens for Equity and Prosperity (OCEP).
